Position Title:

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to lead the end-to-end Human Resources function at our Baska Plant. The incumbent will play a critical role in Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Organizational Development, and Quality Management Systems (QMS). The role requires a seasoned HR professional with strong exposure to the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory audits (including USFDA), and experience in managing QMS compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition (50%)

  • Lead recruitment and selection activities for all levels of the plant, ensuring timely closures.
  • Build strong pipelines for niche pharmaceutical talent.
  • Manage employer branding initiatives to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Drive campus hiring and employee referral programs.

2. QMS & Audits (20%)

  • Ensure compliance with HR-related Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain HR documentation in line with regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Act as HR lead during USFDA, EU, and other regulatory audits, ensuring readiness at all times.
  • Conduct periodic HR process audits and close gaps through corrective actions.

3. HR Operations (15%)

  • Oversee payroll inputs, leave & attendance management, and statutory compliance for the site.
  • Manage contract labour, apprentices, and related statutory obligations.
  • Drive HR MIS & analytics to support decision-making.

4. Organizational Development & Employee Engagement (15%)

  • Lead employee engagement initiatives to foster a high-performance and compliant culture.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and coordinate plant-level learning initiatives.
  • Partner with business heads to drive change management, OD interventions, and leadership development.
  • Strengthen employee connect through structured communication, grievance handling, and shop-floor visits.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Qualification:

    MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    Minimum 8+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Industry Exposure:

    Mandatory experience in facing USFDA and other regulatory audits.
  • Technical Expertise:

    Strong understanding of QMS and HR compliance processes.
  • Skills:

    • Strong TA expertise with proven closures in pharma industry.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to balance operational rigor with strategic HR initiatives.
    • Knowledge of statutory compliances under Indian labour laws.
