Job Description

Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our Finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and efficient processes across balance sheet substantiation, group consolidation, and management reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in IFRS standards and experience within financial services or related sectors.

Responsibilities

Balance Sheet Substantiation

  • Review and enhance efficiencies in close processes.
  • Develop and improve controls throughout the reconciliation process to minimize risk and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage reconciliation of all significant balance sheet items.
  • Implement auditable workflows from accounting systems to spreadsheet management for improved visibility.

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Assist with Group consolidation, including cash flow statements, IFRS 16, and Share-Based Payments.
  • Oversee outsourced providers for inclusion of financial data in consolidated statements.
  • Prepare and support audits for year-end and interim Group financial statements and shareholder materials.
  • Prepare UK and overseas subsidiary financial statements.
  • Complete finance regulatory returns and assess the impact of new accounting standards.

Management Reporting

  • Contribute to the overhaul and re-engineering of quarterly business review processes.
  • Present quarterly business reviews to Investment team heads.

Annual Performance Expectations

  • Drive initiatives within the finance transformation program.

Key Requirements / Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (QBE).
  • Post-qualification experience in: Financial Reporting, IFRS financial statement preparation, Financial Regulatory Reporting.
  • Experience in organizations such as: Asset Management, Private Equity & Venture Capital, Financial Services, Tier I Consulting / Professional Services firms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
