Assistant Manager - Engineering (Automation - Lead)

As a Site Instrumentation & Automation Lead at Zydus Takeda Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., located in Navi Mumbai, India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of automation and control systems in the healthcare manufacturing industry. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading troubleshooting and optimization of automated processes, such as PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems. - Managing the span of control for Budget, including Spares Management, Services, AMC, Asset Life cycle review, and Capex proposal. - Driving projects related to automation upgrades, expansions, MES integration, and integrations with IT/OT networks. - Ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards while maintaining data integrity and cybersecurity. - Providing technical support for automation-related issues, commissioning, validation, and training of plant personnel. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure automation solutions support safe and efficient production. - Managing spare parts and reliability initiatives for instrumentation and automation systems. - Serving as the single point of contact for audits and ensuring readiness for internal and external inspections for Instrumentation and Automation systems. Qualifications Required: - University degree in Instrumentation / Electrical / Industrial Automation. - Minimum 8 years of experience in handling Instrumentation and Automation systems Operation, facilities, and utilities. - Hands-on experience in developing, troubleshooting, and managing Automation systems from L0 to L4 Level. - Experience from any chemical or API manufacturing industry is preferred. In-depth Knowledge & Skills Required: - Proficiency in programming, configuration, and troubleshooting of PLC, DCS, and HMI systems. - Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols like Profibus, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP. - Sound understanding of process instrumentation, control loops, and PID tuning. - Proficiency in utilizing CMMS / SAP-PM systems for calibration and instrumentation data management. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for instrumentation and automation systems.
