Location: Kia India Factory, Penukonda, AP Job Description: The Assistant Manager - Engine Block will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process of engine blocks within the production facility. This role involves ensuring that quality standards are met, production targets are achieved, and that all processes align with company policies and safety regulations. The Assistant Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, implement process improvements, and manage resources effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the engine block production line. - Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure all products meet specifications. - Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement. - Implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency. - Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support. - Manage workflow and scheduling to meet production deadlines. - Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. - Collaborate with R&D teams for new product development and enhancements. Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, with a focus on engine components. - Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control methods. - Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. - Excellent leadership and team management skills. - Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Tools and Technologies: - CAD software for design and analysis. - ERP systems for production planning and inventory management. - Quality management tools and statistical process control software. - Lean manufacturing tools such as value stream mapping and 5S. - Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
