Assistant Manager Catering

The Catering Sales Manager role involves overseeing the contracting and closing of local catering and social business, ensuring proper turnover for quality service delivery. Your primary responsibility will be achieving catering revenue goals by actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue. It is essential to implement the brand's service strategy throughout the sales process and drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence. To qualify for this position, you should have a high school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or a related field. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major from an accredited university will also be considered. As the Catering Sales Manager, your core work activities will include managing sales efforts for the hotel, collaborating with off-property sales channels, responding to catering opportunities, identifying and soliciting new catering business, understanding the market and competitors, negotiating contracts, designing creative catered events, maximizing revenue through up-selling, managing budgets, developing menus, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for interacting effectively with various stakeholders such as sales teams, kitchen staff, vendors, and other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Providing exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate services, and building a relationship with customers to drive loyalty will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
