Job Title: Assistant General Manager (AGM) / General Manager (GM) Estimation (Building Projects)

Role Overview

The AGM/GM Estimation will lead the cost estimation and budgeting functions for large-scale building and infrastructure projects. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and leadership capabilities to ensure competitive and accurate project costing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Estimation & Costing

    • Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates based on architectural and structural drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
    • Conduct rate analysis for civil, structural, and MEP works.
    • Evaluate tender documents and prepare competitive bids.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting

    • Develop project budgets and monitor cost variances.
    • Provide cost-saving recommendations and value engineering inputs.

  • Team Leadership

    • Manage and mentor a team of estimators and quantity surveyors.
    • Review and validate team outputs for accuracy and compliance.

  • Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

    • Liaise with vendors for material and subcontractor rate benchmarking.
    • Maintain a robust database of unit rates and market trends.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work closely with design, planning, procurement, and execution teams.
    • Support business development with pre-bid estimations and presentations.

  • Process Improvement

    • Implement best practices in estimation and cost control.
    • Leverage estimation software and digital tools for efficiency.
