Assistant General Manager, EH&S

You will be responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to ensure compliance with environmental norms. This includes ensuring adherence to legal and statutory requirements set by bodies such as GPCB, CPCB, DISH, and other applicable authorities. Your role will involve leading internal and external Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) audits and ensuring timely closure of any identified non-conformities. You will be required to implement EHS programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the site, as well as managing hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with regulatory standards. Additionally, you will conduct safety drills, risk assessments, and training sessions to enhance safety awareness among employees. It will be important to maintain accurate documentation for all EHS-related activities and compliance requirements. You will also serve as the primary contact for inspections and act as a liaison with regulatory authorities. Furthermore, you will be expected to drive continuous improvement initiatives in health, safety, and environmental practices within the organization. In the event of incidents, you will lead investigations and ensure that corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented to prevent future occurrences.,
