Job Description

Role Overview: You will assist the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff on a daily basis at Marriott International. Your responsibilities will include directing and working with managers and employees to ensure an efficient check-in and check-out process, maximizing guest and employee satisfaction, and optimizing the financial performance of the department. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members. - Supervise and manage employees, understanding their positions well enough to perform duties in their absence. - Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees. - Manage day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations and standards. - Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work. - Handle complaints, settle disputes, resolve grievances, and strive to improve service performance. - Provide exceptional customer service that goes above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention. - Implement customer recognition/service programs and ensure compliance with all Front Office policies and procedures. - Handle guest problems and complaints effectively, obtaining feedback on product quality and service levels. - Provide information to supervisors and co-workers through various communication channels. - Analyze information, evaluate results, and choose the best solutions to solve problems. - Function in place of the Front Office Manager in their absence and participate in department meetings. Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or related professional area; OR a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with no work experience required.
