Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • To liaise and plan with the clients the crew deployment requirements for the vessels assigned as per their requirements.
  • To ensure that the assigned vessels / ships are manned appropriately with qualified, medically fit, and experienced personnel in a timely manner.
  • To ensure all crew are in possession of required mandatory documents and certificates as per rank
  • To liaise with training coordinator to ensure all crew are in possession of required value added courses and completed in time prior joining.
  • To identify and build a high quality, diverse candidate pool of crew personnel.
  • To conduct preliminary assessment of candidates, conduct interviews and shortlist for final selection.
  • To manage the process of personnel mobilization and demobilization by ensuring proper medical, travel arrangement, visa, hotel accommodation, etc. are done within budget.
  • To ensure smooth logistic arrangements are made for incoming and outgoing Crew.
  • To oversee travel bookings, hotel bookings visa applications etc.
  • To ensure all joining personnel receive proper orientation, familiarization training or sufficient information and instructions before joining.
  • To handle any medical emergencies and ensure quick resolution of the issue.
  • To maintain records , followup of all medical sign off cases and prepare docket for submission to P&I Club.
  • To ensure proper implementation of wage settlement and welfare schemes.
  • To ensure readiness to execute crew relief plan, crew change activities in a timely manner.
  • To oversee maintenance of an up-to-date database of personal, medical, training records, certification details, assignment history of all crew in crewing software.
  • To ensure that the requirements stipulated in the CMO policy are properly implemented and maintained by the team.
  • To be up to date of manning developments including the STCW regulations, Flag state requirements, Seamens union and representative bodies, ship owners unions and employment associations.
  • To ensure all services utilized invoices are recd in time and processed as per timeline and laise with accounts for clearance of payments.
  • To support Manager Fleet Personnel as and when required
  • To liaise with various port agents for smooth sign on/sign off of crew
  • Back up for MFP & Sourcing Recruitment Asst Manager in their absence

Preferred candidate profile

Ex Seafarer with Marine background and crew manning experience preferable, Hands on job experience with oil tankers.

Experience:

  • Min 3 years in rank
  • Max 7 years
