Job Description

As a qualified candidate for this role, you should possess the preferred qualification of CA and have strong accounting fundamentals with a sound knowledge of Accounting and reporting Standards such as Ind AS/ IFRS. Your ability to interpret, assimilate, and apply these standards and concepts in real-life scenarios will be crucial. Prior hands-on working knowledge in this field will be an added advantage. It is also essential for you to have working knowledge in an ERP environment and a high level of knowledge of various laws and compliance requirements governing the country operations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Reviewing and approving journal entries - Performing monthly/quarterly reporting submissions to corporate as per the Global close guidelines - Conducting a monthly review of the financial position of the legal entities assigned - Liaising with Treasury/Tax on intercompany settlements - Reviewing BS recs on a monthly basis - Driving resolution of aged open items by liaising with various internal teams - Providing timely risk reporting on P&L exposure to management Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly and appropriate remedial action is initiated. Streamlining the go-forward process, ensuring timely and qualitative audit completion, preparing financial statements, notes to accounts, and variance analysis with detailed explanations are all part of your duties. You will also be preparing the Board pack covering financial highlights. Maintaining a clear trail of all STAT adjustment entries and STAT schedules, preparing reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP, and initiating necessary steps to bridge the balances as required will also fall under your role. Keeping the country exceptions document up to date and reviewing the current process vis--vis changes driven by local regulatory requirements are essential tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to ensure stakeholder queries/adhoc requests are appropriately addressed on time to avoid any delays or escalations. Lastly, you should actively participate in various country level, regional, and global projects as assigned. This position is at Career Level - IC2.,
