Position: Assistant Fashion Designer – Sourcing Location: Mayapuri, Delhi (On-site) Company: TailorWorks Pvt. Ltd. Role Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Fashion Designer – Sourcing to join our design and production team. You will be responsible for supporting the senior designers in sourcing fabrics, trims, and embellishments aligned with seasonal collections and custom client requirements, while ensuring quality, price negotiation, and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: Source a wide range of fabrics, linings, buttons, zippers, trims, and other raw materials in sync with design themes. Maintain vendor relationships and build new supplier connections for better quality and pricing. Research and develop material swatch boards for seasonal and custom collections. Coordinate with vendors for pricing, sampling, deliveries, and inventory management. Track fabric availability and ensure raw materials are delivered on time for sampling and production. Stay updated with market trends, fabric innovations, and sustainability practices. Assist senior designers in creating client mood boards and presentations with sourced materials. Maintain sourcing documentation, price sheets, vendor databases, and approval records. Requirements: Bachelor’s/Diploma in Fashion Design/Textile Design or equivalent. 1–2 years of experience in sourcing or as a fashion design assistant (freshers with strong internships may also apply). Strong understanding of fabric types, trims, and garment construction. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Organized, deadline-driven, and good with documentation.
