Job Responsibilities Engineer

Company:

1. Technical Compliance & Standards

• Study, interpret, and implement

  Indian Standards (IS)

  , BIS product manuals, amendments, and relevant IEC/ISO standards.
• Identify applicable standards for client products and define the

  testing and certification scope

  .
• Prepare

  technical checklists

  and compliance matrices as per BIS requirements.

2. BIS / CRS / FMCS Certification Support

• Assist in

  end-to-end BIS certification

  (ISI, CRS, FMCS) activities.
• Coordinate with BIS-recognized laboratories for product testing and sample submission.
  
• Review test reports for correctness, clause applicability, and compliance.
  
• Support during

  BIS factory inspections/audits

  , including technical clarifications to officers.

3. Testing & Evaluation

• Conduct or witness product testing as per applicable IS standards.
  
• Prepare

  in-house test procedures

  , low-cost test setups, and pre-compliance checks.
• Verify test parameters such as load, force, dimensions, endurance, safety, and performance.
  

4. Documentation & Technical Files

• Prepare and review:
  
• Product technical files
  
• Drawings, BOMs, and material specifications
  
• Quality control procedures
  
• User manuals and marking/labeling details
  
• Ensure documentation aligns with

  BIS product manuals and schemes of inspection

  .

5. Client Coordination & Technical Support

• Provide technical guidance to manufacturers on:
  
• Product design compliance
  
• Material selection
  
• Test applicability and grouping guidelines
  
• Address client queries related to standards, testing failures, and corrective actions.
  

6. Internal Quality & Process Control

• Maintain records of standards, amendments, product manuals, and test data.
  
• Support development of

  internal SOPs

  , templates, and technical knowledge base.
• Ensure confidentiality of client and company technical information.
  

7. Continuous Monitoring & Updates

• Track new

  Quality Control Orders (QCOs)

  , standard revisions, and BIS notifications.
• Update internal teams and clients on regulatory changes impacting certification.
  

8. Coordination with Sales & Operations (Technical Support Role)

• Assist sales team with

  technical feasibility checks

  for new leads.
• Provide technical inputs for proposals, scope confirmation, and timelines.
