Job Description

1. Food Preparation Assist in washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients. Prepare basic dishes such as soups, salads, and side items. Follow recipes and instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor. Operate kitchen equipment like mixers, slicers, and food processors safely. Ensure all food is prepared according to health and safety standards. 2. Cooking Assistance Aid in cooking tasks, including grilling, frying, and baking. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality. Assist in plating and presenting dishes attractively. Handle special dietary requirements as directed. 3. Kitchen Maintenance Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and storage areas. Dispose of waste and recyclables appropriately. Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. 4. Inventory and Stock Management Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the supervisor. Rotate stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. Ensure proper labeling and storage of food items. 5. Team Collaboration Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required. Assist in mentoring and training new kitchen staff when necessary.
