Job Description

Core responsibilities

Asset management:
Oversee the full lifecycle of company assets, including acquisition, tracking, and disposal.
Maintain accurate asset inventories, such as equipment and software licenses.
Ensure compliance with software licenses and contractual terms.
Conduct audits to reconcile deployed assets with entitlements.
Vendor management:
Act as the primary point of contact for vendors.
Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and service terms.
Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and other key metrics.
Manage vendor relationships, including performance reviews and issue resolution.
Ensure vendors adhere to contractual obligations and compliance requirements.
Process and strategy:
Develop and implement strategies for vendor management and asset management.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Analyze spending patterns to find cost-optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align vendor services with business needs.
Create reports and provide data-driven insights to management.

Key skills and qualifications

Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience in IT or business with a focus on vendor or asset management.
Familiarity with asset and contract management principles.
Knowledge of relevant technologies and network infrastructure (for IT-focused roles).
Certifications like ITIL or PMP are often a plus.
