Job Description

As an Area Sales Manager in the decorative wood products sector, your role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion in the veneers and laminates industry. You will oversee your assigned region, mentor your team, and build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners to achieve and exceed sales targets. - Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, objectives, and action plans tailored to your region. - Set clear sales quotas and targets for individual team members to ensure alignment with overall business goals. - Monitor team performance through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary. - Identify obstacles or challenges in achieving targets and work with your team to develop effective solutions. - Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners. - Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute customer-specific sales strategies and promotions. - Prepare detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management review. - Provide regular updates on market conditions, sales performance, and customer feedback to senior leadership. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred (relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative). - 7+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or field sales with a proven track record, ideally within the interior, furniture, veneer, or laminates industry. - Strong strategic planning and analytical skills. - Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills. - Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams. In addition to the mentioned job responsibilities and qualifications, the preferred industry experience includes selling wood-based decorative products, specifically in veneers, laminates, or related decorative surfaces. Familiarity with the interior design and furniture sectors will be highly advantageous. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund. The work schedule is during the day shift with performance bonuses and yearly bonuses. The work location is in person.
