At Blue Ocean Impex LLP our high-performing sales team is the engine that drives customer satisfaction. To achieve the same on a particular geographical level, we are on the lookout for an Area Sales Manager. The role of an Area Sales Manager is specific to the clientele in a set territory or location. We are looking for someone who can easily adapt to a new environment, and who has a successful track record of closing sales. The ability to inspire and motivate is a must, as an Area Sales Manager will be mentoring a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets. Able to reach team and personal targets. By building an efficient and productive team, the role of an Area Sales Manager involves proficiency in reaching sales targets, an achiever, an assortment of skills including communication, negotiation and problem-solving.

Objectives of this role

  • Increase business opportunities by implementing the right sales strategies under the direction of reporting Head/RSM.
  • Establish and cater to a customer base keeping in mind the basic Area Sales Manager roles and responsibilities
  • Prepare sales plans as per the overall mission, vision and ethos of the company.
  • Build brand awareness specifically for a geographical area as a sales field manager
  • Review market opportunities, and also be on field to do sales to develop new clients and distributor network.
  • Meet and exceed the ROIs and KPIs through effective overall sales performances

Responsibilities

  • Well versed with processes and can report daily and implement the same processes in team.
  • Leading a team to execute regional sales strategies and meet business goals.
  • Driving recruitment, training, and performance monitoring for field teams to improve productivity and customer engagement.
  • Planning and implementing localized promotional activities to increase brand penetration and recruit new partners in underserved markets.
  • Ensuring consistent growth in sales volumes by building a robust distributor and advisor network.
  • Work in close collaboration with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth execution of logistics, training sessions, and regional campaigns.
  • Tracking KPIs and sales data to identify trends, challenges, and new opportunities for growth.
  • Drive sales at Secondary and primary level, YOY growth.
  • Field work is must, building new retails and distributor networks.
  • Work with Sales representatives and Sales officers assigned as a team, to meet sales targets (Personal plus team) set by the company.
  • Foster a strong relationship with existing and potential clients, and resolve any customer queries that come by.
  • Utilise different modes and channels of communication to reach the target audience effectively.
  • Monitor the performance of the A.S.E./S.R./S.O. and tweak the sales strategies to achieve sales targets.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Total experience of 8-10yrs and minimum 5yrs experience working as an Area Sales Manager or in a Field Sales Manager job with a proven track record in FMCG or Cosmetic arena.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Outstanding written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • M.B.A. in Marketing/Bachelor’s degree in business management (FMCG experience) marketing.
  • Experience with common customer relation software tools is a big plus for a prospective area sales manager
  • Willingness to travel extensively on the job as per situation and demand.
