Area Sales Manager- GT - Mumbai

You will be responsible for meeting Sales & Development targets through the effective implementation of area sales plans and strategies. This includes planning and achieving distribution expansion within budget plans and overseeing stocks and logistics planning for the assigned area. You will need to ensure timely settlement of distributor claims by thorough scrutiny and on-field verification, as well as maintaining the agreed Return on Investment (ROI) for the distributors. Analyzing Nielson and internal data of various markets will be crucial in implementing sales strategies to achieve targets. Developing a distribution strategy that aligns with the changing channel mix is essential. Monitoring the availability and performance of manpower at Distribution Centers (DBs) as per plan and highlighting any deviations to the Regional Sales Manager will be part of your responsibilities. You will also be involved in executing and tracking distribution expansion by class of towns, type of OLs, and category as per the plan. This may require taking corrective action where necessary. Implementing distributor Management Information System (MIS) packages and ensuring compliance from distributors within agreed timelines is vital. Planning for new product launches based on channel requirements and understanding category and distribution objectives for the products is also expected. Additionally, you will be required to execute merchandising strategies by channels and categories, ensuring shelf share greater than the market for Tier 1 SKUs. Meeting targeted productivity norms for channels and categories is a key performance indicator. To excel in this role, you should have experience in managing field sales teams, sales associates, and merchandisers. Proficiency in promotional planning, budgeting, and trade management is also essential for success in this position.,
