ob Description – Area Manager (General Insurance – POSP Model)

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of POSP (Point of Sales Persons) for selling general insurance products.
• Drive sales targets across Motor, Health, Fire, Travel, and other General Insurance lines.
• Ensure POSPs are IRDAI-certified and compliant with regulatory guidelines.
• Provide product knowledge, sales techniques, and digital tools training to POSPs.
• Monitor daily activities, sales performance, and renewal persistency of POSPs.
• Develop business growth plans for assigned territory/region.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with POSPs to ensure high engagement and productivity.
• Track competition activities and market trends to identify opportunities.
• Support POSPs in client acquisition, servicing, and claim assistance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance, and ethical business practices.
• Regular reporting to Regional/Branch Head on sales, recruitment, and performance metrics.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Graduate/Postgraduate with 5–8 years of experience in General Insurance (POSP/Agency/Broking model preferred).
• Strong knowledge of General Insurance products (Motor, Health, Fire, Marine, etc.).
• Experience in team handling, distribution building, and channel development.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and training skills.
• Target-oriented with proven track record in sales and recruitment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and digital insurance platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹1,200,000.00 per year
