Architect

• Project planning and design:
• Analyze site surveys, maps, and reports to understand project requirements and site constraints.
• Create detailed designs, blueprints, and models for structures, infrastructure, and building systems.
• Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments, including environmental impact studies.
• Calculate project costs, create budgets, and manage project expenditures.
• Compliance and regulation:
• Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant agencies.
• Construction supervision and management:
• Oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring the project is built according to the approved plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify and solve onsite issues promptly and provide technical guidance to the construction team.
• Collaboration and coordination:
• Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Coordinate with vendors for materials, equipment, and devices.
• Communicate with clients to discuss project requirements and provide updates.

Required skills and qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
• Software proficiency: Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is essential.
• Technical skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, structural integrity, and technical drawing is necessary.
• Problem-solving: The ability to analyze and resolve design and construction issues is crucial.
• Project management: Excellent organizational skills, time management, and budget management are key.
• Other skills: Strong communication, leadership, and blueprint reading skills are also important.
• Licenses: A Professional Engineer (PE) license is often preferred.
