Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities 1. Design Coordination Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and interior designers to ensure seamless integration of all design elements. Review architectural drawings, GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, shop drawings, and vendor drawings. Ensure all designs comply with building codes, local regulations, and project specifications. Address clashes between architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and resolve conflicts through coordination meetings. 2. Project Management & Communication Conduct regular design coordination meetings with consultants and project teams. Maintain a design tracker and ensure timely submission, review, and approval of drawings. Communicate design revisions, updates, and approvals to site teams and contractors. Support project managers by providing accurate design-related data and clarifications. 3. Site Coordination Visit the site regularly to verify that construction follows approved architectural drawings. Assist the site team by providing technical clarification and resolving design discrepancies. Ensure architectural finishes, materials, and mock-ups follow design intent. 4. Documentation & Quality Control Maintain version control of all drawings, documents, and design correspondence. Prepare RFI (Request for Information) when additional details or clarifications are needed. Ensure all changes are documented through formal revisions. 5. Stakeholder Coordination Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to finalize design solutions. Participate in client presentations and explain design concepts when required. Coordinate with procurement teams for materials selection, specifications, and approvals. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelors degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or related field. 0-4 years of experience in architectural design coordination within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, construction drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM tools, and MS Office. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple design packages and deliver on time. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with high-rise, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects. Experience coordinating with both in-house and external consultants. Working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is a plus.
