Architect (On-Site)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Architect with a minimum of 5 years of proven expertise in railway station planning, design, and coordination. The ideal candidate must be proficient in developing clear, well-detailed drawings using AutoCAD and possess strong knowledge of railway infrastructure standards, project workflows, and multidisciplinary coordination. The candidate should effectively communicate with internal teams, consultants, and site personnel to ensure timely and compliant project execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural plans, GADs, layouts, and detailed drawings for railway station buildings and associated infrastructure.
• Apply advanced knowledge of architectural design, engineering principles, materials, and railway norms (IR, RDSO, NBC, ADA, etc.) to achieve functional and compliant station designs.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety and railway standards.
• Review and coordinate with structural, MEP, signaling, and other engineering teams throughout all project stages.
• Provide technical inputs, resolve design issues, and recommend improvements during design and execution phases.
• Participate in client meetings, prepare reports, and assist in ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
• Support tender documentation, BOQs, and compliance checks specifically for station development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in railway station design or transportation/infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of railway guidelines, building bylaws, and station planning requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software tools.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced infrastructure environment.
