Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated AR Follow-up/Denials Management Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in managing and reducing accounts receivable delinquencies, effectively handling denials, and improving overall cash flow. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in AR management within the healthcare industry, preferably in radiology, and a strong understanding of insurance policies and healthcare billing.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage outstanding accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
Analyze and resolve denials and rejections from insurance companies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate with insurance companies to appeal denied claims and negotiate payment terms.
Communicate effectively with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare professionals to clarify billing discrepancies and resolve issues.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all follow-up activities and communications.
Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate billing and coding of services.
Provide regular reports on AR status, denials trends, and resolution efforts to management.
Stay informed about current industry regulations, billing practices, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in AR follow-up and denials management within the healthcare industry, with a preference for candidates with radiology experience.
In-depth knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance reimbursement processes.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work through complex problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
