About the Role

AR Denials – Senior Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Perform AR follow-up with a focus on denial resolution and recovery.
  
• Analyze common denial reasons: No Authorization, Duplicate, Bundled/Inclusive, COB, Non-Covered, Medical Necessity, Timely Filing, etc.
  
• Contact insurance companies to obtain claim status and clarify denial reasons.
  
• Identify and correct issues related to coding, billing, documentation, or patient registration.
  
• Submit accurate claims via billing software (electronic & paper).
  
• Follow up on unpaid/denied claims within the billing cycle.
  
• Research, resolve, and initiate appeals for denied or rejected claims with proper documentation.
  
• Perform eligibility & benefits verification via portals or calls.
  
• Review patient bills for completeness; update missing details as required.
  
• Process ERA/EOB posting and payment reconciliation.
  
• Understand payer policies across Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, PPO, and Commercial plans.
  
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all actions.
  
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and internal quality standards.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1

  years of experience

  in US Healthcare AR calling & Denial Management.
• Strong understanding of denial types: No Auth, COB, Bundled, Duplicate, Inclusive, etc.
  
• Good knowledge of payer rules, benefits, and appeals workflow.
  
• Hands-on experience in charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting (ERA/EOB).
  
• Ability to read and interpret superbills and medical billing data.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet productivity targets.
  
• Knowledge of credentialing is an added advantage.
  
• Experience working with PHI under HIPAA compliance.
