Job Description

The Apps Support Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role, dealing with most problems independently and having some latitude to solve complex problems. You integrate in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. It is important to have a good understanding of how your team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function/job family. Applying analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies is essential. Attention to detail is required when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically, you deal with variable issues with potentially broader business impact and apply professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaking down information in a systematic and communicable manner is a key skill. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. You have a moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses" core activities. The quality and timeliness of service you provide will affect the effectiveness of your own team and other closely related teams. Responsibilities: - Providing technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. - Utilizing a good understanding of apps support procedures and concepts, as well as basic knowledge of other technical areas to field issues and queries from stakeholders. - Developing a comprehensive understanding of how areas of apps support collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals. - Acting as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors. - Participating in disaster recovery testing. - Participating in application releases, from development, testing, and deployment into production. - Performing post-release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates. - Developing and maintaining technical support documentation. - Analyzing applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues. - Making evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information and resolving problems by identifying and selecting solutions. - Cooperating with Development colleagues to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements. - Actively involving in and owning Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives. - Performing other duties and functions as assigned in a concise and logical manner. - Operating with a limited level of direct supervision. - Exercising independence of judgment and autonomy. - Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. - Appropriately assessing risk when making business decisions and driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience. - Basic knowledge or interest in apps support procedures, concepts, and other technical areas. - Participation in some process improvements. - Previous experience or interest in standardization of procedures and practices. - Basic business knowledge/understanding of financial markets and products. - Knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools. - Understanding of how your own sub-function integrates within the function and commercial awareness. - Developed communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence. - Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Good knowledge of the business and its technology strategy. - Consistently demonstrating clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. - Knowledge of issue tracking and reporting using tools. - Being a good all-round team member. - Effectively sharing information with other support team members and with other technology teams. - Ability to plan and organize workload. - Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders. - Technical skills on AIX, Linux, Oracle. - Experience in Autosys Job Scheduling and setup. - Basic understanding of network topology, Firewalls, and Load balancers. Education: - Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.,
