Must have skills : IBM z/OS Good to have skills : NA Minimum 7.5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary :The primary responsibility of this role is to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and strategies to ensure minimal disruption to business operations in the event of a disaster or system outage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, data backup, and recovery methodologies, with a focus on proactive planning and continuous improvement. Roles & Responsibilities: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, policies, and procedures to ensure business continuity and data protection. Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential threats and prioritize recovery efforts. Coordinate and oversee the implementation of data backup and recovery solutions, including offsite backups and cloud-based storage. Test and validate disaster recovery plans regularly to ensure effectiveness and reliability. Collaborate with IT teams and business units to identify critical systems and applications, establish recovery time objectives (RTO), and recovery point objectives (RPO). Provide guidance and support to IT staff during recovery operations, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Document and maintain accurate records of disaster recovery procedures, test results, and incident response activities. Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to disaster recovery and business continuity. Professional & Technical Skills: Proven experience in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing within a corporate environment. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualization technologies. Experience with backup and recovery software/tools, data replication, and disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) solutions. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Additional Information: The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in IBM z/OS. This position is based at our Bengaluru office. A 15 years full-time education is required. Project management experience, including planning, scheduling, and resource management. Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) related to data protection and disaster recovery. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks under pressure. Qualifications 15 years full time education
