Application Monitoring Engineer

Job Title: Application Monitoring & KEDB Support L1

• Monitor application dashboards, logs, and alerts using monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Nagios, etc.).

• Detect and acknowledge application performance issues or downtime in real-time.

• Perform first-level triage and basic troubleshooting of incidents as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Create, update, and maintain entries in the Known Error Database (KEDB) for recurring incidents or known issues.

• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with detailed incident analysis.

• Track and ensure closure of assigned incidents and service requests within SLA.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution and preventive measures.

• Generate and share daily/weekly monitoring and incident reports.

• Follow ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, and Knowledge Management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 02 years of experience in application monitoring or IT support (L1).

• Basic understanding of ITIL concepts (Incident, Problem, KEDB).

• Hands-on experience with at least one monitoring or logging tool (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, SolarWinds, etc.).

• Good knowledge of Windows/Linux OS and basic application architecture.

• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work in a 24x7 rotational environment.

Good to Have:

• ITIL Foundation certification.

• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, or PowerShell).

• Exposure to ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy.

• Prior experience in production support or application operations.
