Summary:The SAP S/4HANA and OpenText DMS Consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting OpenText Document Management System (DMS) solutions integrated with SAP S/4HANA. The role focuses on enabling efficient document workflows, compliance, version control, and seamless integration across business processes and SAP modules.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Implement and configure OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) and SAP DMS solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments.Integrate OpenText with SAP modules such as MM, PP, QM, PPM, and ECC for document archiving, retrieval, and lifecycle management.Design workflows using OpenText Content Server (Live Reports, Web Reports, etc.) for business document automation.Manage repositories, storage categories, and document attachments including scanning, locating, uploading, and linking files into DMS.Enable auto-upload processes to link scanned files with appropriate document categories.Support migration of legacy documents and archiving from SAP Content Server to OpenText platforms.Provide end-user training on document handling, version control, and workflow processes.Troubleshoot issues related to document access, storage, and SAP integration.Integrate OpenText DMS with PLM systems for Engineering and Manufacturing BOM.Support Engineering Change Management processes through DMS integration.Professional & Technical
Skills:Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and OpenText DMS/xECM integration.Hands-on experience with SAP Content Server, OpenText Content Server, and archiving processes.Expertise in configuring document workflows, version control, and storage management.Understanding of SAP modules (MM, PP, QM, PPM, ECC) and their integration with DMS.Experience in PLM integration for BOM management and engineering change control.Proficiency in troubleshooting SAP–OpenText integration issues.Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information:Experience in end-to-end SAP OpenText DMS implementation and migration projects is preferred.Good communication and training skills for end-user enablement.Ability to work in cross-functional teams with business and technical stakeholders.Exposure to regulated environments (e.g., pharma, automotive, manufacturing) is an added advantage.
