What you will do
This position is responsible to design Fire Alarm System per respective account standards.
How you will do it
- Review Technical specification of the projects to understand the project requirements.
- Preparation of technical submittal & Sending RFQ with supplier.
- Preparation of Compliance document and cost comparison.
- Technical competency of below systems
- Fire alarm
- GA & Shop drawings.
- Co-ordination with the Architects, Clients and Contractors at various stages of the project
- Demonstrate adherence to operational process requirements to drive efficiency
- Should have strong domain knowledge of Fire Alarm (Simplex, Edwards, Notifier etc. . . , )
- Should be able to maintain assigned KPIs and should own to meet them.
- Should act as interface to customers and is responsible to ensure that projects are executed within agreed schedule and budget to meet the customer technical specification requirements.
- Should have sound knowledge of ACAD to work independently carry out post sales design and engineering of Fire alarm - Hardware Detail Design, Engineering and Application Development, Battery Calculations, Voltage drops calculations, wiring diagram and matrix etc.
- Should be able to develop Typical / Templates for Complex systems and develop project specific standards.
- Should be work as project owner and works independently . He/she should be fully proficient in applying established standards/practices.
- Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan, ensures effective change control, and identifies risks / opportunities. Should also be able to manage additional resources to meet the project delivery.
- Ensures that the proposed engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure group work in compliance with QMS procedures. Identify possible improvement opportunities and manage their implementation.
- Ensure common methods, techniques, tools, and products are being effectively applied and provide feedback for future improvement.
- Ensures that the implementation of application is reviewed with respect to project standards and quality documents
- Ensures that the final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the customer by doing the quality checks.
- Usage of engineering tools for optimization of Engineering man hours to improve productivity & Quality
What we look for
- ME/BE/ Diploma (Electrical/ Electronics/Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunication)
- 5-8 years experience in Fire & security system design and engineering is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD
- Time bound delivery of project deliverables
- Developing good work practices
- Developing standard procedures to save time
- Minimizing number of Engineering changes
- High quality delivery
- Ability to be a team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with detail as well as with general assignments
- Knowledge on NFPA 72, IBC & Relevant codes & standards.
