About the Role

Application Engineer Valves

The ideal candidate will work closely with Sales, Design, and Production teams while interacting with OEMs, EPCs, consultants, and end users to deliver optimal and compliant valve solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical application support for selection of industrial valves such as Ball, Butterfly, Globe, Gate, and Control Valves.
• Analyze customer process data, P&IDs, datasheets, and specifications to recommend suitable valve solutions.
• Perform valve sizing and assist in actuator selection where required.
• Prepare technical inputs for techno-commercial offers and support bid/tender submissions.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Design, Production, Quality) to ensure proposed solutions meet customer and project requirements.
• Participate in customer meetings to address technical queries and provide application guidance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards such as API, ASME, ISO, IEC, etc.
• Stay updated on new valve technologies, materials, and industry best practices.
• Support OEMs, EPCs, consultants, and end users during project execution and pre-order stages.
• Conduct or assist in technical training sessions for internal teams and customers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education:

  Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Experience:

  25 years of relevant experience in application engineering, technical sales support, or valve engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of:
  
• Industrial valve types and applications
• Valve materials and trim selection
• Pressuretemperature ratings
• End connections and sealing concepts
• International standards and codes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, datasheets, and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for internal coordination and customer interaction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power, Water & Wastewater Treatment, Pharma, or Process Industries.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and electric actuators, including basic sizing and selection.
• Experience working with international clients, consultants, or export-oriented projects.
