Application Developer_Java

Role Description:

• You will support us in the design, development and test of the LifeFactory, a system from our partner msg life, in the life insurance environment for our customer in Germany
• You develop our software using agile methods
• You will learn how to implement challenging and varied topics and will be supported by german colleagues
• You will be involved in design decisions and in the further development of existing systems and will have the opportunity to exchange experiences within the team
• After your induction, you will be solely responsible for parts of the system.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Designs, codes, tests (incl. test cases, and scripts for module/component tests), corrects, documents complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications and subsequent iterations
• Installs, configures, customizes and integrates standard software
• Implements and executes module/component tests and provides technical documentation
• Executes the technical application support
• Supports the deployment and training of the application into production environment
• Monitors service delivery performance metrics and identifies required service agreement adjustments • Trains oth team members in case of new joiners / leavers • Takes responsibility for parts of the system

Key Competencies & Skills required

Technical Skills:

• Excellent Build and deployment skill in Java using Eclipse.
• Excellent experience in Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate and Maven.
• Good Experience in Databases DB2, PostgreSQL
• Good Experience in analysis and design of object-oriented software systems (OOA, OOD, UML) and, optionally, know-how in the area of service-oriented architectures (SOA)
• Experience in HTML5, Java Script, JSF, XML/XSLT and

Nice to have:

• Good experience with HP-ALM testing tool in both Manual and Automation Testing
• Jira and Confluence experience.
• Experience in financial sector or banking sector.

Previous Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Educational Qualification:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science /Engineering/Information Technology
• Candidate with non-computer science degree must have minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• MBA in IT / Insurance/Finance can also apply for Requirements Engineer and Test Engineer role.

Years Experience & Knowledge:

• 5+ years of development background in design, analysis, coding, bug fixing in above written technical Skills.
