The Application Developer Team Lead I develops code for complex modules, participates in design reviews, conducts code reviews, creates test plans and participates in testing reviews, and resolves moderate defects. The Team Lead designs, documents, reviews, and maintains components of software solutions for complex projects. Under limited supervision, the Team Lead I works closely with business partners to identify needs and design technology solutions to overcome process bottlenecks, reduce use of contingent claim resources, reduce compliance risks, or generally increase operational efficiency. This role is often required to deliver tactical solutions that can be implemented within a few days. The individual is responsible for all phases of the application development cycle beginning with requirements gathering, through release, and ultimately ongoing user support.

• Actively engage in team ceremonies including Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospective

• Actively participate in the effort defining development best practices, participate in design/code reviews and process improvements

• Ability to break down business problems into solvable components to recommend solutions

• Ability to plan and prioritize requirements

• Setting up and leading development team

• Communicates effectively to ensure high quality and timely completion of projects.

• Good interpersonal, verbal, listening and written communication skills

Primary Skills

• Hands-on programming experience in Java development, Java Core and Collections

• Spring Framework - Spring Boot, Spring REST, Spring Web, Spring ORM, JPA and Hibernate

• Hands-on programming experience on React JS + Redux

• Hands-on experience with SQL

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience with cloud technology

• Working knowledge of backend database integration

• Experience in Design and Implementing REST Services

• Exposure to test driven development and writing JUnits, Integration Tests

• Source Control Management (preferably Git/GitHub)

• Application Support experience

• Experience working with DevOps tools such as Gradle and Jenkins

• Proven ability to quickly evaluate and learn unfamiliar processes and tools

• Solid understanding of Agile development principles

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 10 to 14 years of experience (Preferred)

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
