Role Overview:

Appian Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Appian applications, including process models, interfaces, records, reports, and integrations.
• Lead & Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Implement complex Appian plug-ins, smart services, and integration components (REST, SOAP, RDBMS, etc.).
• Configure and manage Appian environments (cloud/on-premises) and ensure performance tuning and optimization.
• Apply Appian best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Support testing activities (unit, system, UAT) and troubleshoot production issues.
• Maintain documentation for design, implementation, and support processes.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Must Have Skills:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in 

  Appian BPM development

  .
• Strong understanding of 

  Appian Objects

   (process models, records, reports, CDT, SAIL interfaces, etc.).
• Experience with 

  Appian 21.x/22.x/23.x

   (or latest).
• Good knowledge of 

  Appian plug-ins, smart services, and Appian integration capabilities

  .
• Proficiency in 

  SQL, relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)

  .
• Understanding of 

  Web Services (REST, SOAP), XML, JSON

  .
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience working in an 

  Agile environment

  .

Good to Have:

• Appian 

  Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3 Certification

  .
• Knowledge of 

  Java / Python / scripting

   for advanced integration.
• Exposure to 

  cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  .
• Experience with 

  CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

  .
• Knowledge of BPM concepts and other BPM tools.
