Apigee Integration Engineering Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise integrations and external payment systems.
  
• Drive the adoption and maturity of

  event-driven architecture

  using

  Kafka

  , ensuring scalable and decoupled integrations.
• Own and manage the

  API lifecycle

  using

  Apigee

  , including design, security, versioning, monitoring, and governance.
• Collaborate with platform and application teams to reduce

  technical debt

  in legacy integrations and ensure smooth migration paths.
• Provide architectural leadership across integration initiatives, ensuring solutions align with business and technical strategies.
  
• Design and implement

  secure, scalable, and highly available microservices

  using

  Node.js

  ,

  MongoDB

  , and

  OKE

  (Oracle Kubernetes Engine).
• Champion

  observability and monitoring

  best practices using

  Dynatrace

  to ensure real-time insight and reliability across integrations.
• Establish integration and API best practices, design guidelines, and reusable patterns across the enterprise.
  
• Support DevOps practices for CI/CD, test automation, and configuration management related to integration assets.
  

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years

  of hands-on experience in

  integration engineering, microservices, and API architecture

  .
• Strong expertise with

  Apigee API Management

  (design, security, traffic management, policies, analytics).
• Proven experience with

  Node.js

  ,

  MongoDB

  , and RESTful service development.
• Strong background in

  Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  , especially

  OKE

  (Oracle Kubernetes Engine).
• Solid knowledge of

  event-driven systems

  and experience designing solutions with

  Apache Kafka

  .
• Deep understanding of

  enterprise integration patterns

  ,

  security best practices

  , and

  cloud-native architecture

  .
• Experience with

  Dynatrace

  or similar observability platforms to enable full-stack monitoring and alerting.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Proven ability to mentor and guide engineering teams and set architectural direction.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in

  financial services or payment systems integration

  .
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, or infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm).
  
• Familiarity with other API gateways or service meshes (e.g., Kong, Istio).
