Ansible Engineer

As an Ansible Engineer/Senior Consultant Specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in automation, configuration management, and the delivery of scalable solutions. Your primary focus will be on working with Ansible in a dynamic Linux environment to enhance enterprise-level tooling automation. Your responsibilities will include designing, coding, and maintaining Ansible modules/packages for enterprise tooling, ensuring proper configuration enforcement across a large Ansible-managed Linux estate, collaborating with customers on code development, conducting code promotions and peer reviews, and maintaining quality standards. Additionally, you will provide expert consultation, offer L3 support, troubleshoot incidents, and drive new module development, deployment, and configuration to meet business needs effectively. To excel in this role, you must possess proven expertise in automation technologies, especially in Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform. You should have hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, strong Linux/Unix administration skills, and solid service management experience. Proficiency in Python, Git, and CI/CD pipelines is essential, along with exposure to agile practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence. A sound understanding of SDLC and deployment controls is also a key requirement for this position.
