Ansible Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Ansible Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation workflows that streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Ansible, Linux systems administration, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for configuration management and automation.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, software deployment, and system configuration across on-premise and cloud environments.

Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Development teams to identify automation opportunities and improve operational efficiency.

Manage and optimize Ansible Tower / AWX for centralized automation execution.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrated with Ansible for seamless deployments.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing automation workflows and playbooks.

Ensure all automation follows security, compliance, and version control best practices.

Document automation standards, runbooks, and reusable templates for team use.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

4+ years of experience in infrastructure automation or configuration management.

Strong proficiency in Ansible (Playbooks, Roles, Templates, Variables, Inventories).

Experience with Ansible Tower / AWX for orchestration and job management.

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).

Hands-on experience with version control tools (Git/GitHub/GitLab).

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Experience automating infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell.

Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes is an added advantage.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and documentation abilities.
