Animator

This is a part-time, remote role for an Animator. You will play a central role in bringing our product experiences to life through engaging animations and visuals. This involves creating 2D animations, designing storyboards, and collaborating closely with product, design, and psychology teams to ensure every animation communicates empathy and clarity. Your work will help transform Healo’s features into interactive, visually appealing experiences that resonate with our users in the mental health space

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and produce high-quality 2D animations for Healo’s web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with designers, illustrators, and product teams to translate concepts into visually compelling motion
• Develop storyboards, visual scripts, and style frames to align with product and content goals
• Integrate animations seamlessly into digital platforms, ensuring smooth performance and responsiveness
• Create visual effects, transitions, and motion graphics to enhance storytelling and engagement
• Maintain visual consistency and brand identity across all animation assets
• Stay updated on animation trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve creative output.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of professional experience in animation or motion design
• Proficiency in animation and design tools such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Blender, Maya, or similar
• Strong understanding of motion, timing, and storytelling principles
• Ability to develop both character animations and UI motion graphics
• Basic knowledge of exporting and optimizing animations for web and mobile platforms
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with a passion for producing visually impactful work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in health-tech, wellness, or mental health-related products
• Familiarity with integrating animations into front-end frameworks (e.g., Lottie, Spine)
• Understanding of UX motion principles for digital products
• Knowledge of VFX or mixed media techniques
• Experience with both 2D and 3D animation pipelines
