Android Developer - Java/Kotlin

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Architect robust, secure, and scalable mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Mentor junior developers and lead code reviews.
• Stay up to date with the latest mobile technology trends, tools, and best practices.
• Work closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and QA to deliver seamless mobile experiences.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8-12 years of proven experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Deep understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Experience with Jetpack components (e.g., LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation).
• Familiarity with MVVM / MVP / Clean Architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and 3rd-party libraries integration.
• Strong knowledge of mobile UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with Android Studio, Git, Gradle, and continuous integration.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools.
• Published one or more Android apps in the Google Play Store is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
