Job Description

Role Overview: As the Assistant Vice President for Data & Analytics at the bank, your primary responsibility is to lead the development and execution of the bank's Data & Analytics strategy. Your role is crucial in aligning this strategy with the bank's overall business goals and risk appetite, ensuring that data is effectively utilized to drive business growth, optimize operations, and mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities: - Enable Business or Function Unit Strategy by fostering a comprehensive understanding of data usage and bringing thought leadership on best practices and new capabilities to deliver business outcomes. - Ensure adherence to data policies, standards, and controls, driving Data Quality to support various use cases. - Collaborate with Business or Function leadership to define and prioritize data use cases, business data products, and oversee their implementation for realizing benefits. - Prioritize activities required for Data and Analytics, challenging the overall end-to-end design and architecture. Qualifications Required: - Demonstrated experience in advising and influencing decision-making, contributing to policy development, and ensuring operational effectiveness. - Ability to lead a team in performing complex tasks, using professional knowledge and skills to impact the entire business function positively. - Strong coaching skills to set objectives and guide employees towards achieving them, appraising performance, and determining reward outcomes. - Excellent leadership behaviors as per the LEAD framework - Listen and be authentic, Energize and inspire, Align across the enterprise, Develop others. - Proficiency in consulting on complex issues, providing advice to support the resolution of escalated issues. - Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks, developing new policies and procedures to support the control and governance agenda. - Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done. - Collaborate effectively with other areas of work, staying updated on business activity and strategy. - Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to creatively and effectively solve problems. - Strong communication skills to convey complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
