AM-Purchasing

You will be responsible for Global New Product Development (NPD), Advanced Development (AD), and Product Purchasing. Working under the Global Direct Purchasing function, you will develop/source BOM/RM parts, lead sourcing activities, alternate sourcing, and vendor development. Your role will involve leading the development of new products and suppliers, owning the NPD process from RFP/RFQ stage to Product Launch, and participating in various process reviews. - Lead Global and/or Domestic Advanced Development (AD) and Continuous Development (CPD) Projects - Utilize costing expertise to prepare and run ZBC, Should Cost models, and identify cost-saving opportunities - Manage costing and negotiations with suppliers to finalize techno-commercial terms - Develop tooling capabilities with minimal risk and support sourcing processes - Coordinate with suppliers for PPAP run planning and submission of PPAP documents - Conduct supplier capability and capacity assessments to select the right supplier at the right cost and quality - Support VAVE activities, Concern resolution, and apply tools like FMEA, VAVE, and PPAP to optimize product cost - Participate in cross-functional Risk Assessment meetings and harmonize discrepancies in product specifications - Monitor and evaluate the impact of costing and value engineering activities on product profitability and customer satisfaction - Understand and mitigate supplier risks and conduct supplier audits as necessary - Act as Kohler's ambassador and bridge technical gaps between suppliers and internal stakeholders - Enforce the company's Global Procurement Policy and procedures and seek out continuous improvements in Purchasing processes - Forecast growth opportunities, prepare roadmaps, and enhance relations with stakeholders - Be actively involved in global Purchasing Support enhancement projects - 5+ years of experience in Direct Purchasing, Sourcing, Parts/Products development, and Vendor Development - Strong experience in ZBC, Should Costing model, and expertise in costing for various commodities and manufacturing processes - Solid understanding of Company VAVE/APQP/PPAP requirements and related processes - Hands-on experience in Global Purchasing/Sourcing projects and cost reduction initiatives - Good knowledge of industries and supplier bases, both domestic and overseas - Strong English communication skills, team leadership abilities, and organizational/project management skills - Bachelor's degree in engineering in any stream (Note: Omitting the Additional Details section as it doesn't contain relevant job description information),
