Alternate Motor Qualification Testing

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Perform alternate motor qualification testing to ensure compliance with industry standards. Conduct Bill of Materials work using Oracle, ensuring accurate and complete documentation of parts and materials. Create motor part prints with detailed specifications for manufacturing and quality assurance purposes. Review motor specifications, assess compatibility with the primary motor, and make recommendations based on technical findings. Conduct indoor and outdoor airflow tests, as well as UL 60334-2-40 and reliability tests, ensuring proper testing methodologies are followed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure motor specifications align with customer requirements and performance standards. Troubleshoot motor-related issues and provide technical support to internal teams and customers. Motor Types: PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) ECM (Electronically Commutated Motor) PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) 3-Phase Qualifications: BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with relevant Experience, ME/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Motor Drives is preferred. Proven experience in motor testing and qualification. Strong technical review skills with the ability to assess motor specifications and compatibility. Familiarity with PSC, ECM, PWM, and 3-phase motors, including associated testing methods. Experience with indoor and outdoor airflow testing. Knowledge of UL 60334-2-40 standards and reliability testing protocols. Proficiency in Oracle for managing Bill of Materials. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects. Willingness to travel and stay at customer locations in North America for up to 12 months. Additional Notes: This position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, handling critical motor qualification tasks for a wide range of motor technologies. The role requires adaptability and the ability to solve complex problems efficiently. Flexibility for travel and on-site work at customer locations in North America is a key requirement (duration is 6months to 12 month, later at Hyderabad Office).
