AI/ML Engineer

Role Overview: As an AI/ML Engineer at UBS, you will play a pivotal role in transforming compliance and risk governance through the power of AI and machine learning. Your main responsibilities will include designing and developing the AI/ML strategy across Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance (GCRG), leading the implementation of scalable AI/ML solutions, and championing responsible AI practices to ensure transparency and fairness in model development and deployment. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful outcomes and stay abreast of emerging trends in AI/ML and regulatory technology. Key Responsibilities: - Design and Develop the AI/ML strategy across GCRG to align with regulatory expectations and business goals. - Lead the design and implementation of scalable AI/ML solutions for group Compliance. - Champion the adoption of responsible AI practices, ensuring transparency, fairness, and explainability in model development and deployment. - Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes. - Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI/ML and regulatory technology and translate them into actionable innovation roadmaps. Qualifications Required: - 6-12 years of experience in technology roles with a strong focus on AI/ML strategy and implementation. - Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions in financial services, preferably in compliance, surveillance, or risk domains. - Strong coding skills in Python are a must. - Hands-on design and development experience in Azure, Databricks, and Spark is a plus. - Proficiency in Agile, Test Driven Development, and DevOps practices. - Deep understanding of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), MLOps practices, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred). - Strong foundation in data science, statistics, and algorithmic modeling. - Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, model context protocol (MCP), and Vibe coding for AI model optimization and orchestration. - Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in banking and capital markets is advantageous. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels. - Collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring and growing high-performing teams.,
