What would you do? Technology for Operations – Procurement focuses on transforming traditional procurement into a digitally enabled, data-driven function that delivers strategic value. Leveraging advanced platforms, automation, and analytics, this domain enables end-to-end Source-to-Pay processes, optimizes sourcing strategies, and enhances compliance and efficiency. By integrating intelligent technologies with talent and insights, it helps clients achieve cost savings, improve supplier collaboration, and drive sustainable growth through innovative procurement solutions.The Senior Manager – Procurement AI Delivery will lead large, complex AI and ML–enabled procurement transformation programs within Accenture Operations, with a focus on Source-to-Pay and digital procurement capabilities. You will combine strong hands-on expertise in Python, AI, and ML with deep understanding of procurement processes to design, build, and scale intelligent, data-driven procurement solutions for global clients. Acting as the primary bridge between procurement functional leaders, Operations leadership, and technical delivery teams, you will own solution architecture, delivery excellence, and value realization for technology for Operations – Procurement programs aligned to Accenture’s 360 value framework.Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a senior delivery leader who combines deep procurement domain expertise with strong AI/ML engineering capability in Python and a proven record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder technology programs. This person is comfortable operating at the intersection of strategy, architecture, and delivery, can influence senior client stakeholders, and is passionate about transforming traditional procurement into a digitally enabled, intelligent, and data-driven function.

What are we looking for?

12–16 years of overall experience in technology-led transformation, with significant experience in procurement or Source-to-Pay domain and at least 4–6 years leading AI/ML or advanced analytics–based solutions.

Strong techno-functional profile with:

Advanced Python development skills for data processing, model development, and integration.

Hands-on experience with ML frameworks and libraries (such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch or equivalent) and applied ML techniques (supervised/unsupervised learning, optimization, NLP, anomaly detection).

Proven experience building and operationalizing AI/ML solutions in enterprise environments.

Deep functional understanding of procurement processes, including:strategic sourcing, category management, supplier onboarding and performance management, contract management, catalog management, purchase requisition and order management, invoice processing, and compliance.

Experience working with or integrating to leading procurement/ERP platforms (for example SAP MM/Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Procurement Cloud, or similar).

Demonstrated track record as a delivery lead or program manager for large, multi-tower or multi-country technology programs, managing scope, budget, risks

Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical discipline; MBA, Operations, or Supply Chain/Procurement specialization is a plus.

Certifications or formal training in AI/ML, data science, or advanced analytics.

Exposure to or hands-on work with GenAI, LLM-based assistants, or AI copilots applied to procurement (e.g., intelligent sourcing assistants, contract clause review, supplier Q&A bots).

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying AI/ML solutions, including use of managed ML services and MLOps practices.

Familiarity with process mining, task mining, and automation tools (RPA, workflow orchestration) used to optimize procurement operations.

Experience working in or with Accenture Operations / global delivery centers or similar large-scale managed services environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end delivery of AI/ML-enabled procurement transformation programs, covering strategy, design, build, deployment, and hypercare across Source-to-Pay processes (sourcing, contracting, ordering, invoicing, payments, and supplier management).

Translate procurement business objectives (cost savings, compliance, risk reduction, sustainability, supplier performance) into AI/ML use cases and technical solution architectures using Python and modern ML frameworks.

Architect and oversee development of predictive and prescriptive models for spend analytics, demand forecasting, supplier risk and performance, price benchmarking, anomaly/fraud detection, working capital optimization, and intelligent buying.

Integrate AI/ML models with procurement platforms, ERP systems, and Accenture’s Operations tooling (including automation, analytics, and workflow platforms) to enable seamless, end-to-end digital procurement solutions.

Partner with procurement domain experts, category managers, and client stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize backlogs, and shape multi-year AI-led procurement transformation roadmaps.

Lead multidisciplinary teams (data scientists, ML engineers, Python developers, solution architects, procurement SMEs, and automation specialists) in an agile delivery model to ensure high-quality, on-time, and on-budget execution.

Establish and enforce delivery governance, including risk management, quality controls, performance SLAs, and continuous improvement mechanisms for AI/ML solutions in production.

Drive innovation by identifying new AI, ML, GenAI, and automation opportunities within procurement operations, contributing to assets, accelerators, and reusable components for Technology for Operations – Procurement.

Ensure solutions adhere to responsible AI principles, data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements applicable to procurement and supplier data.

Support business development by contributing to proposals, solution demos, client workshops, and thought leadership on AI-driven procurement transformation.
