Job Description

We are hiring an experienced AI Developer who specializes in computer vision, object detection, and OCR technologies. The ideal candidate will work closely with the development team to design, train, and deploy machine learning models that extract meaningful insights from visual data. You will be responsible for model training, data annotation, API integration, and creating end-to-end AI pipelines. Job Responsibilities Develop and fine-tune object detection models using YOLOv5/YOLOv8, Detectron2, or SSD Preprocess image data using OpenCV (contours, morphology, edge detection, etc.) Train custom models using labeled datasets, including bounding box annotations Use annotation tools such as CVAT, LabelImg, or Roboflow to label and manage datasets Prepare data in YOLO format, apply augmentation techniques to increase accuracy Integrate OCR engines such as Tesseract or EasyOCR to extract text from images Associate spatial text with detected objects using bounding box linking and proximity-based matching Build and deploy REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI for serving trained models Collaborate with frontend/backend developers to integrate AI models into applications Job Qualifications: Must-Have Skills Experience with YOLO (v5/v8), Detectron2, or SSD object detection models Proficient in image preprocessing techniques using OpenCV Hands-on experience with annotation tools like CVAT, LabelImg, or Roboflow Ability to prepare and format datasets for training (e.g., YOLO format, augmentation) Strong knowledge of OCR tools such as Tesseract OCR or EasyOCR Experience in linking spatial text with detected objects and proximity-based matching Proficiency in building RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI Solid understanding of Python, machine learning, and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) Nice to Have Knowledge of Docker, cloud deployment (AWS/GCP), and CI/CD practices Experience with model monitoring and performance optimization Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL) Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Health insurance Provident Fund Schedule: Day shift Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow): 1 year (Required) object detection Models: 1 year (Required) OpenCV: 1 year (Required) Location: Kulathur, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala (Preferred) Work Location: In person Application Deadline: 30/06/2025
