AI Automation Engineer

Overview

The AI Automation Engineer Level 2 is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing end-to-end automation workflows that enhance MSP operations. This role requires advanced scripting, integration skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while leading automation deployment projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced automation workflows integrating PSA, RMM, and AI platforms.


• Create and maintain scripts using Python and PowerShell to streamline recurring MSP processes.


• Develop integrations using REST APIs (ConnectWise, Datto, N-able, etc. ).


• Architect AI-enabled workflows leveraging LLMs, RAG, and data enrichment.


• Mentor and support L1 engineers in workflow design and execution.


• Manage deployment and optimization of automation solutions with measurable business outcomes.


• Ensure compliance, data governance, and documentation across all automation projects.
  
  
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT Support, DevOps, or Automation Engineering (MSP experience preferred).


• Proficiency in Python and PowerShell.


• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON data handling.


• Experience with automation tools such as n8n, Power Automate, or Tines.


• Working knowledge of RMM/PSA systems like ConnectWise, Datto, Kaseya, or N-able.


• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as prompt engineering and vector databases.
