WOTR currently operates in seven states namely Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Rajasthan. Our head office is in Pune.

About the position:

WOTR is looking for motivated individual as an Agriculture Expert.

Job Locations: Dharashiv (Osmanabad), Maharashtra

Job profile/ Scope of Work:

• Provide technical support to FPOs and farmers on best practices in natural and organic farming, residue-free agriculture, and horticulture plantations
• Conduct Farmer Field Schools (FFS) and regular training programs for farmer groups
• Guide farmers on package of practices for Soybean, Pulses, and other seasonal crops
• Support farmer mobilization and encourage active farmer participation in FPO activities
• Collaborate with other teams for smooth implementation of agriculture and FPO- based projects
• Maintain field documentation and provide regular reports on progress and impact
• Facilitate on-field demonstrations and exposure visits for knowledge sharing and learning
• Assist in developing crop calendars and seasonal advisories for farmer outreach
• Promote adoption of bio-inputs, composting, and eco-friendly plant protection measures

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong understanding of FPO functioning and value chain support
• Familiarity with natural farming, sustainable agriculture, and climate-resilient practices
• Experience working with NGOs or development organizations is a strong advantage
• Good rapport-building skills with rural communities and farmer groups

• Qualification:

  B.Sc / M.Sc in Agriculture from a recognized university

• Experience:

  4–5 years of field-level experience
• Fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English- speaking, reading, and writing

• Sector:

  NGO/Development (Preferred but not mandatory)
