Job Responsibilities:
1. Candidate will be responsible for procurement function for commodity markets, developing and implementing strategies to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality sourcing of raw materials, packing material, engineering and commodities.
2. Candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with organizational goals.
3. Candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives also identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
4. Candidate will be responsible for negotiating contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements and also monitor market trends, industry developments, and new sourcing opportunities.
5. Candidate will ensure timely procurement of goods and services to support operational requirements and also manage supplier relationships, performance, and compliance to maintain quality standards.
6. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving initiatives and ensure procurement activities adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
7. Candidate will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams such as finance, operations, and quality assurance and also maintain accurate procurement records and reporting for management review.

Required Candidate Profile:
1. Experience: 15+ years of procurement experience in commodity markets, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
2. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
3. Candidate should have proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in a leadership role.
4. Candidate should have strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills also excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Candidate should have good knowledge of commodity markets: Understanding of commodity markets, oil, including trends, pricing, and risk management.
6. Candidate should have good knowledge of the food industry: Knowledge of food industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
