About the Role:

Assistant General Manager - Accounts & Finance

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the general accounting function, including managing and mentoring a team of 10-12 professionals.
Supervise and authorize local payments for trade vendors, fixed assets, utilities, marketing, travel, petty cash, credit cards, rentals, cartage, and freight.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records through preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and streamline processes.
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and regulatory compliance.
Maintain working knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, Income Tax, and GST provisions.
Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
Manage annual external audits, provide documentation, and address audit findings.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

Chartered Accountant (CA)
