Job Summary:

Assistant General Manager Corporate Affairs

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing corporate and public affairs, building high-level institutional relationships, and providing strategic support to senior leadership in managing external communications and reputation risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Government & Regulatory Affairs:

  • Establish and nurture effective relationships with government agencies, regulators, and industry bodies to represent the company's interests and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Institutional Liaison & Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the key point of contact for external stakeholders, including government officials, business associations, and community representatives, to promote mutual collaboration and trust.

Policy Advocacy & Representation:

  • Monitor policy and regulatory developments, prepare position papers, and advocate on behalf of the organization to shape favorable outcomes aligned with business objectives.

Corporate Communications & Reputation Management:

  • Support leadership in crafting and executing communication strategies, managing media relations, and mitigating potential reputation risks through proactive engagement.

Strategic Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Communications to ensure consistency in corporate messaging and execution of cross-functional initiatives.

Advisory & Reporting:

  • Provide strategic insights on emerging socio-political and regulatory trends that could impact the organization. Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management review.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Undertake any additional assignments or initiatives as directed by the leadership team to support organizational priorities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, or related discipline. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 1015 years of experience in corporate affairs, public policy, or stakeholder engagement, ideally within a large organization or regulated industry.
