Role Overview

As the AGM Fleet Audit, you will be responsible for end-to-end auditing of fleet-related expenses and ensuring cost control, process compliance, and operational transparency. This role demands strong analytical abilities, deep understanding of truck and fleet operations, and prior experience in auditing fleet repair and enroute costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of fleet repairs, fuel bills, tyre replacements, and other vehicle-related maintenance expenses.
  • Review and analyse enroute expenses, tolls, penalties, fuel reimbursements, and lodging costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, vendor contracts, and operational SOPs across all fleet-related transactions.
  • Identify cost leakages, non-compliances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Fleet Managers, Workshop Heads, and Finance teams to validate repair invoices and service quality.
  • Maintain and update audit checklists and dashboards for real-time fleet expenditure analysis.
  • Assist in vendor audits related to spare parts, garage services, and fuel suppliers.
  • Generate periodic audit reports for senior management and provide insights on cost optimization opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in auditing processes and help in automation of fleet cost monitoring.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Fleet Operations, preferably in large logistics or transportation companies.
  • Proven experience in fleet audits, especially focusing on repair costs, enroute expenses, and fuel usage.
  • Strong understanding of truck operations, vehicle maintenance schedules, and cost heads in fleet management.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and process-oriented mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, Commerce, or Logistics Management and cost accountant.
  • Certification in internal audit, cost control, or fleet management is a plus.
