Job Purpose

Roles and Responsibilities

• Complete concept to preliminary & detailed design of Renewable Energy Installations like PV Plant, Pooling Substation & Switchyard, Transmission lines etc.
• Candidate shall have sound knowledge of Indian and equivalent International Standards for Civil and Structural Works associated with Renewable Energy Projects (Solar).
• Produce engineering documents such as design reports, cost estimates and construction specifications.
• Understands product technology related to civil and structural components in Solar projects to a substantial degree and can effectively communicate with site personnel, contractors, consultants, internal stakeholders, and executive management.
• Knowledge and Proficiency in handling the tools such as MS Office, AutoCAD, Google Earth, and other drawing and layout development tools.
• Knowledge of prevailing industry costs for civil and structural works in Solar Projects.
• Proficiency in foundation design for electrical equipment, design of roads, fencing, and drainage.
• Produce Specifications for Geotechnical, Contour Survey, and Hydrology, and review of geotechnical reports produced by third parties.
• Prepare preliminary layouts for Solar Projects in coordination with the electrical engineering team.
• Create Request for Purchase (RFP) along with scope of work and preliminary specifications for new projects and work closely with internal stakeholders and purchase department to evaluate and select the vendors for civil and structural works.
• Support Project and Quality Teams for inter-discipline coordination during inspections, client approval and project execution.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  

Required skills and abilities

• Thorough understanding of Civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
• Proficient in Structural analysis and design software like STAAD Pro and CAD tools etc
• Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of renewable energy structures & other related structures.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations related to assigned projects.

Profile & Eligible Criteria

• Min Qualification B.E (Civil) from AICTE-approved institutions with min 10-15 yrs. post-qualification experience.
• Should have a background of carrying out analysis and detailed design, Bill of quantities, pertaining to Renewable energy structures, Foundations, balance of plant structures, or substations.
• Intermediate knowledge of electrical engineering. pertaining to the above systems is preferable.
